Build Africa is an award-winning development organisation. We believe in the power of education to help end poverty, and work to ensure that children in Africa have the best opportunity to learn. We are unique in our approach - supporting the ability of parents to send their children to school, while helping communities build and sustain quality education services. Build Africa currently operates in Kenya and Uganda. As part of our ambitious growth plans to help more people than ever, we are looking for a dedicated and inspiring Director of Programmes & Fundraising with the experience to help us create powerful and lasting change.
The Director of Programmes and Fundraising is responsible for leading Build Africa’s growth and overseeing the quality and effectiveness of its programmes. They have functional responsibility for programme design and quality, fundraising, programme implementation, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning. They will play a significant role in growing Build Africa into an increasingly innovative organisation that remains deeply committed to its community development roots. Importantly, they will lead on the development of a geographic expansion plan and the introduction of social enterprise models.
