WORK CONTEXT
Cesvi have been working in Peru since 1989. Cesvi started activities in the San Martín region, implementing development projects with the most vulnerable communities in the Amazonian region of the country. Initially, its lines of action were integral development in native communities, sustainable management of natural resources and support of populations in emergency situations. Since 2002, CESVI has reformulated its intervention policy in Peru, defining to work in the following three main thematic areas:
• Sustainable management of natural resources and defense of the environment;
• Comprehensive development of children at risk, and
• Generation of employment and social reintegration of young people in situations of marginalization and social exclusion.
The activities to be carried out by this position corresponds to the project: Mitigation of deforestation in Brazil nut concessions in Madre de Dios, Peru, financed by PROFONANPE.
JOB DESCRIPTION
She or he will work on the following activities:
• Analysis and segmentation of the audience and strategies for social media networks, promoting and positioning the organization in the social media.
• Strategical marketing planning to be integrated in the communication area to disseminate results and lessons learned, and to exchange experiences with similar projects.
• Marketing and campaigns in digital and online format to promote products and services.
• Supporting in design of communicational, informative, manuals and publications materials.
• To prepare marketing material for the producers associations and their products.
• To support in the preparation of electronic (online) bulletins.
• Promotion of sales of the products such as Amazonian nut, aguaje, ungurahui, jams, etc. from non-timber forest products concessions and associations of producers.
• Participation in round-table business meetings, eco-fairs at national and local levels such as the Amazon expo, Food expo, among others.
• Supporting and communicating on monitored and verified deforestation and invasions activities, based on the Local Control System in a timely manner that helps to take legal actions.
• To improve the organization and communication among Amazonian nut producers whom are united to face invasions and other threats to their concessions.
• To organize and support thematic meetings and workshops on associativity and environmental awareness.
• Creating and strengthening initiatives that promote private investment in conservation and sustainable management of the forest.
• Supporting in the identification of solid strategies for the following issues: collection, positioning and campaigns that generate visibility of the project.
• Supporting in activities and campaign such as the collection of the life stories of forestall concessionaires, development of material, and related activities.
These activities will be developed in coordination with the Director of CESVI-Peru and the technical team based on an agreed work-plan.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
• Marketing studies.
• Management of computerized design tools eg. Adobe.
• Knowledge of planning and advertising strategies in social networks
• Passionate of social networks
• Proactive attitude in fundraising activities.
• Knowledge of Spanish
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES
• Knowledge of development and management of computerized information and presentation with software eg Microsoft Power point, Excel, Word, others.
